David Waters' new exhibition showcases both his latest installation piece and works from the last 3 years working in these mediums: lino-cut, mud, painting, corrogated iron, bronze, wood, stone, concrete, glass, silver-leaf, bone, sponge rubber, photography and tarpaulins.
Water's installation is an exploration of the history of a canvas tarpaulin. The tarpaulin displays evidence of its well-travelled past: weathered patches, sun-bleached areas, mended tears and holes are all evocative of the tarpaulin's story - from its creation, to its journey around Australia on the back of a truck, to its salvage by Waters and transformation into an artwork.
