Trust me: Valuing human relationships in communication design practice
This research project was undertaken to discover and understand the significance of valuing the involvement of others in design processes and outcomes. It explores the designer’s agency in enabling a human-centred design approach to communication design projects.
Agency in this research context concerns how designers act, intervene in, or contribute to the social process of design. This research sees the designer as a key agent in the design process alongside other stakeholders in the project. In particular, it examines the designer’s role in enabling and facilitating a social practice amongst the stakeholders of a design project.
