Tracey McLaren was born 1966 in Melbourne. From 1985-1988 she studied at the Caulfield institute of technology and has had group shows at the Linden Gallery, Talarno Gallery and other venues in Melbourne. In the mid 1990's she began having solo shows and started a small gallery in the band room at the old Prince of Wales called no space. She has written articles and has been an assistant to artist Jenny Watson over the years. Her last solo show, which was at Brightspace titled Painting Melbourne Music, used pictures of Melbourne music identities as a backdrop for paint, print, collage and mixed media. She is curruntly working on solo show of portraits 'photos' of local art/music people. |
