Peter Ferguson
Bio
Peter Ferguson became one of the founding members of the famous Roar Studios in 1982 after studying at the Victorian College of the Arts and travelling extensively.
His distinctive naïve style combines a riot of childlike human figures, birds, trees and buildings, bound in incredibly bright colours. Each canvas has a rich life of its own, and is totally engaging in its charming complexity.
The appeal of Peter’s work is reflected in the many successful exhibitions he has held at Roar Studios, William Mora Galleries, Coventry Gallery, Sydney and many others.
His paintings are held in collections at the National Gallery of Australia, Victoria and Albert Museum, London and Sir William Dobell Foundation, Sydney among others.
